Aqua New York can accommodate a range of private events, from intimate seated dinners to large-scale cocktail receptions and full restaurant buyouts. For cocktail receptions, the main dining room can host up to 400 guests, with an additional 150 guests on the mezzanine level. For seated events, the main dining room can accommodate up to 280 guests, with an additional 60 guests available in the Kyoto sushi bar.

Aqua New York offers flexible private event menus from Aqua Roma and Aqua Kyoto, allowing hosts to select an Italian menu, a Japanese menu, or a combination of both in one location. This makes Aqua especially unique as a private event venue, giving guests the option to experience two distinct cuisines under one roof. For select events, there is also the option to include a third cuisine, Northern Chinese, from our sister restaurant Hutong, creating an even more dynamic dining experience for private dinners, cocktail receptions, and full restaurant buyouts.

Yes. Aqua New York has two main guest entrances that can support different event flows. Aqua Roma’s entrance is located at 902 Broadway, while Aqua Kyoto’s entrance is located on 21st Street, just off Broadway. Depending on the event format, guest count, and arrival needs, our events team can recommend the best entrance plan.

Yes. Aqua New York can accommodate VIP events, private arrivals, celebrity guests, executive dinners, and events with elevated privacy or security needs. In addition to our two main guest entrances, Aqua has other entrances that can help ensure discretion and privacy. For security reasons, these entrances are not listed publicly, but our events team can review them with you during a private site visit.

Yes. Elevator access is available to the mezzanine level, making it accessible for guests attending private events, receptions, and gatherings hosted across multiple levels of the venue.

For groups of up to 20 guests, outside wine is permitted with a corkage fee of $70 per 750ml bottle. For larger private events, please speak with our events team about available wine, Champagne, and beverage package options.

Our in-house pastry chef can create custom cakes tailored to your event, preferences, and celebration style. Outside cakes are also permitted with a cake fee of $10 per person.

Elevator access is also available for guests attending events on the mezzanine level.
